How Often Should I Change My Tires?

Tires are designed to last for several years. However, like other important automotive parts, they'll need to be replaced eventually.

When will they need to be replaced? Well, it depends on several factors, such as local road conditions and your driving habits. However, typical estimates say that it should be approximately every four years or 50,000 to 60,000 miles. Again, these estimates don't apply to every vehicle, so consult with one of our expert technicians to learn more!

As mentioned before, several factors will determine when your car needs a new set of tires. Along with road conditions and your driving style, you should also keep in mind the type of car you're driving and if you frequently travel on gravel or other rough terrain.

A few signs that you need to replace your tires include:

  • Treads in the tires are no longer visible; instead, the tires appear to be smooth.
  • Your vehicle's performance or efficiency has decreased.
  • Your vehicle pulls in one direction while stopping or doesn't stop as quickly as it normally does.

How to Choose the Right Tires

To ensure your daily drives are smooth and steady, you'll want to install the right tires for your driving lifestyle.

For instance, if you often go off-roading, our team can equip your vehicle with tires that effectively handle harsh terrain. If you have a high-performance vehicle, we can pair it with a set of high-performance tires to increase your stability on the open highway.

When winter rolls in, we have all-season and winter tires that can provide you with enhanced traction on roads covered in snow, sleet, and ice.

Tire Rotations, Alignments, & Other Services

Beyond replacing your tires, you'll also need to care for the tires you currently have on your vehicle. Tire rotations and tire alignments are key maintenance services that will help extend the lifespan of your tires and keep your car performing efficiently.

If you discover a puncture or crack in one of your tires, don't toss it out just yet! Our shop may be able to seal up the hole or crack, restoring it back to its former glory for many more adventures around Lehigh Valley and Nazareth.
